You may deny or revoke it through browser or device settings. Mission coordinates may still be stored when you save a mission or generate a report.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide and personalize planning functions; authenticate users; enforce Free and Pro limits; process and administer subscriptions; generate, store, and retrieve missions and reports; maintain security; prevent abuse; diagnose failures; communicate about accounts and support; comply with law; and improve the Service.

We do not use AeroClear output as a substitute for the pilot’s independent verification or regulatory obligations.

5. Legal bases and consent

Depending on location and applicable law, processing may be based on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, compliance with legal obligations, or consent. Where consent is required, it may be withdrawn prospectively.

6. How information is shared

We may share information with service providers that support hosting and security, identity and authentication, payments, mapping, analytics, communications, storage, and aviation or weather data retrieval. Current infrastructure may include Cloudflare for hosting/security, an identity provider for authentication, and Stripe for billing. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, respond to lawful process, or complete a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, or asset transfer. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly use mission data for third-party behavioral advertising.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account and billing records, meet security and legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type. Deleting an account may not immediately remove backups, transaction records, fraud-prevention records, or information we must retain by law.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure. Do not submit export-controlled, classified, highly sensitive, or unnecessary personal information through mission notes or support messages.

9. Your choices and rights

You may review or update certain account information, manage device-location permission, cancel a paid subscription, and request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information through the Support page. Rights vary by jurisdiction and may be subject to identity verification and legal exceptions.

10. Cookies and local storage

AeroClear may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies for authentication, security, preferences, plan enforcement, diagnostics, and service operation. Blocking required storage may prevent sign-in or other functions. Any nonessential analytics or advertising technologies should be deployed only with appropriate notice and consent controls.

11. Children

AeroClear is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users must also meet any higher minimum age required in their jurisdiction or obtain valid parental authorization where legally permitted.

12. International processing

Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.

13. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective date and, when appropriate, additional notice.
